Say I have two servers located across the country from one another with limited bandwidth / slow connections with several terabytes of data. One a backup of the other. Is it possible to do say a zfs send where the changes are checked via the connection but the data is written to a local pool that can be shipped to the second server? Currently I have two FreeNAS boxes one a Mini-XL and the other a home brew soon to be a Mini-XL. In the near future I will be moving to where satellite internet or cell service are the only options. I would like to retain this other service as an offsite backup as well as using it for the good internet connection on that end to send new content back. Love the show, keep up the great work you are doing.
