I have worked a little bit with Jails, but multiple times now I have run into issues with the networking. Sometimes the jail will boot up, but the IP address will not be assigned to an interface. Then if I attempt to add an IP address to the interface I get errors, saying I'm not permitted. I had one jail working with networking, and I had allow.raw_sockets. But, after I rebooted my machine, and restarted the jail, the networking no longer worked. Can you explain general principles on how Networking and Jails work on FreeBSD? Also, can you show examples of what is required to have networking work in Jails?
