I'm snapshotting and backing up my home directory to another machine with ZFS. As I understand it, the suggested best practice for ssh private keys is that they should not leave the host they were created in. But in the setup I have now, they do, and currently my home directory had no encryption.

What is the best practice around this? It's just my home machine so I'm not too worried a hacker it's targeting me, but if this was an enterprise setup I would be. As I understand it there are some features coming down the pike in ZFS that will help, like this sensitive data removal feature and maybe encryption.

Thanks for the great show,
/Malcolm
