I've been saving up for a few years and I just ordered my dream laptop, a Dell precision 7720. It's going to be my main workstation to use in engineering and at university. I had few questions regarding configuring it to use with FreeBSD, and ZFS. Here the main specs: 64GB (4x16GB) 2400MHz DDR4 ECC SDRAM Nvidia Quadro P4000 w/8GB GDDR5 Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 8265 Driver Intel WiFi Link 8265 2x2 802.11ac + BT 4.2 Intel Core Xeon E3-1535M v6 (Quad Core Xeon 3.10GHz, 4.20GHz Turbo, 8MB 45W) with Thunderbolt 3 17.3" UHD IPS Narrow Border (3840x2160) Wide View with Camera and Mic 2x SAMSUNG 960 PRO M.2 1TB NVMe PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) I was planning on mirroring the two NVME drives to use as my main zpool. I haven't used an NVME drive before, let alone using it with ZFS. I know it should just 'work; with ZFS, but I was wondering if I would have any issues booting off of it with FreeBSD? Will I need to use a different drive to boot off of? I was also wondering if you had any recommendations for tuning the zpool to get the most out of the new drives. Thanks for the great show, I've been watching it every week for years and it's how I keep up with the latest things in *BSD.
