These questions are for you:

My questions are about zfs file system, lz4 compression, and the lz4 utility for compressing individual files.

Is there any risk of data corruption saving a .lz4 file on a zfs volume using .lz4 compression? Also will doing so compress the .lz4 file(s) even more? Or does zfs make determinations about what will be compressed and what will not based on metadata before the file is written to disk? could it compress a .zstd or tar.gz file even more?

I understand that the lz4 utility supports 16 different levels of compression, by default does zfs use level 3 and can this be changed?

Lastly what compression algorithm does ScaleEngine use for its production CDN servers and why did you choose that algorithm?

Thanks - I love all the JB shows keep on being awesome!
